DAMASCUS - Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Sufian al-Alaw on Sunday discussed with Total's Middle East Region President Ladislas Paszkiewicz aspects of cooperation in the field of exploration and productions.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed opportunities of future investment in the domain of oil and gas as well as expanding Total's work in Syria and cooperation in new fields inside different Syrian cities.

For his part, Mr. Paszkiewicz referred to the positive investment atmosphere in Syria, underlining Total desire to continue working in Syria.

'Total Corporation for Exploration and Production operations' is the main partner of Syrian Petroleum Company in the Syrian eastern region. It started exploring oil in Syria in 1988.
