SHARJAH, 29th June, 2016 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, opened Tuesday evening, the AED500 million Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort, located at the Corniche Park Street.

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah were present.

After the official opening ceremony, the Ruler of Sharjah toured the resort facilities and received a thorough briefing about rooms, suites and services for visitors.

The Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort includes 350 rooms and suites, of which 300 are spacious guest rooms and 50 are suites, in addition to the Royal Suite with a special swimming pool. It features panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf and the city of Sharjah.

Among others present were Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Central Department of Finance, Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of Seaports and Customs Department, Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Salem Al Qassimi, Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Ruler's office, Brigadier Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, General Commander of the Sharjah Police, Rashid Ahmed bin Sheikh, Chief of the Emiri Court, Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Board of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Salah bin Butti Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Planning and Survey Department, Sultan bin Huda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Economic Development Department, Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Protocol and Hospitality Department, and a number of officials and specialists.
