RIYADH (Zawya Dow Jones)--Saudi Cement Co. (3030.SA), the kingdom's second-largest cement producer, said Wednesday it is mulling plans to set up a new production line at its factory at Rabigh industrial city to meet growing domestic demand.
The line will have a capacity of 7,000 tons a day and is expected to start production in the fourth quarter of 2014, the company said in a statement posted on the Saudi bourse website.
Saudi Cement said it already requested from state-oil giant Saudi Aramco to supply the fuel for the factory's expansion.
