Dubai: Salam Stores, Dubai's largest retail outlet, announced the winner of its Fashion Prize in the Wafi City Dubai Summer Sensations promotion.
Akram Skaik of Dubai was awarded the exceptional Fashion Prize - a round-trip for two to Milan to attend a private sitting with renowned designer Rafael Lopez where he will have a signature piece custom designed.
"Congratulations to our winner Skaik, who wins the trip to Milan - Europe's fashion capital - on behalf of Salam Stores at Wafi City" said Ibrahim Bitar, General Manager of Salam Stores: "This is truly a unique opportunity to meet with one of the fashion world's most up-and-coming designers."
Born in Spain, Rafael is one of the most creative young designers in fashion today. Known for his great attention to detail and elegant draping techniques, his fashions are sold in leading luxury stores around the world.
"Rafael Lopez' participation reaffirms Salam Stores' position as a style leader and fashion authority in the region. It reflects our aim as a fashion retailer to be an up-market department store catering to international tastes while meeting local needs" said Bitar.
Salam Stores opening at New Wafi Extension earlier this year is more than just another retail boutique. At 11,000 square metres it is the largest department store in the UAE and offers the luxury of choice in an atmosphere designed for comfort and convenience.
The launch of the flagship store brought an array of premium luxury brands such as Love Moschino, JOOP, Escada, Armani Jeans, Armani Collezioni, Diesel, D&G, Just Cavalli and Marc Cain.
