When explaining this event's importance to Qatar's medical sector, Mr. Abdulrahman Al Mannai, Vice President of QIMC said:

"In line with the Qatar National Vision 2030, QIMC 2015 aims to continuously support events that will lay the foundations for a healthier and strong society, and encourage innovation in Qatar's healthcare sector. This year's exhibition will serve as the initial stepping stone in our country's journey towards the development of the local, regional and international medical sectors, and markets that depend on the medical industry."

"So far, the quality and level of participation is above what we expected. We are optimistic that this event will enhance the image of Qatar internationally, while boosting manufacturing in medical industries locally," he added.

With only few spaces left, the medical event is practically sold out. Support to QIMC is being provided by the generousity of local firms that are leaders in their own right.

Platinum sponsorship is being provided by Solutions for Services and Healthcare W.L.L. (SSHC), a leading healthcare institution in Qatar. Representing world-renowned brands, the company is now the exclusive agent for GE Healthcare in the country. Coupled with the extensive expertise of the company's engineers and specialists, SSHC essentially is a one-stop solution for the healthcare industry in the country.

Al Madawat Medical Supplies is lending its support to QIMC as a Gold sponsor. Founded in 2013, the firm has quickly emerged as one of the leading suppliers of medical devices and products in Qatar and the region. In just a few short years, most major private and government hospitals have become Al Madawat's clients, as well as major medical centres and pharmacies across the country.

It is one of the most modern cosmetic surgery clinics in Qatar, with handpicked staff to ensure personalised, private, and professional service to all its clients. With over two-dozen surgical procedures available at the Art Centre, the clinic has emerged to be the destination of choice for those seeking cosmetic surgery in Qatar.

In addition, Manateq is providing further support as "Economic Zones Partner". Manateq is the developer and operator of the special economic zones and other related projects in the country, aiming to provide world-class infrastructure that will facilitate the development of the private sector and the Small and medium-sized industries and enterprises. It also seeks to play a vital role in the realisation of the country's overall economic growth and diversification strategy, and in nurturing the local knowledge economy; an essential component towards the achievement of Economic Development, one of the key pillars forming the Qatar National Vision 2030.

The Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) has also confirmed its participation as Supporting Partner. The QNCC is one of the globe's most modern and environmentally sustainable convention centres, offering space for anything from small business meetings to large international conferences.

On behalf of the organising company, Rabih Karam, Managing Partner of Art & Art said:

"It is our responsibility to advance together as a nation, and the first step in doing that is maintaining the general well being of people living in Qatar. By bridging the gap between international experts and local professionals from the healthcare sector, we are able to provide the Qatari market with what it needs to thrive; keeping future generations healthy. As the state of Qatar is developing quickly, the growing community needs a more adequate healthcare system in line with the country's advancement. In this light, the QIMC 2015 comes at a perfect time to fill this gap."

The event will bring together leading international companies, connecting them to leading entrepreneurs, doctors, and researchers in the field, in an ideal networking platform with tens of thousands of industry professionals.

Topics to be covered at the QIMC conference include internal medication and autoimmune diseases, oncology, cardiology, diabetology, pulmonology and other subjects of interest. Innovation and new findings in video capsule endoscopy, antalgia, and sensitive, yet crucial, new concepts of end-of-life (palliative care) will also be debated and discussed amongst the participants.

In addition, the exhibition will feature a vast showcase from recognised and innovative international companies, who will be introducing their latest, cutting edge products, services and technologies in the medical field, answering to the local and regional market needs.
