DOHA: Qatar Petrochemical Co (Qapco) and Qatofin recently participated in the International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber, which was held in Düsseldorf, Germany.

An official delegation comprising Dr Mohammed Yousef Al Mulla, GM of Qapco; Abdul Rahman Ali Al Abdullah, Group Manager, Commercial and Marketing; Misahel Mohammed Ansari, Public Relations Manager; Ahmad Asad A Al Emadi, Sales Manager; Yousef Darwish Fakhro, Qatofin's Group Manager, Commercial and Administration; Abdul Aziz Ahmad Bashrahil, Technical Customer Services Manager; Saheim Khalaf Josaiman, Head of Regional Sales; Abdullah Hasan Al Ansari, TCS Senior Specialist and Amin Al Deeb, Int'l Exhibition Executive- PR Dept, took part in the event.

K-2010 Fair is one of the largest trade exhibitions specialising in rubber and plastics processing industries and is held regularly in Germany every three years. A great number of senior executives and officials from Germany and Overseas have attended the fair, representing around 3,000 leading specialised plastics and thermoplastics business companies from all over the world.

About 17 exhibiting halls displayed state-of-the-art and high level innovated machinery and plastics processing equipment from local and overseas suppliers.

A dominant feature of K-2010 this year was the high calibre of trade visitors, roughly 250,000, who came from over 100 countries worldwide. Their number has exceeded the number recorded in previous K-2007.

Qapco's interest to attend K-2010 is a continuation of the company's quest to preserve its competitive position as a leading exporter of petrochemical products, and particularly ethylene, LDPE and LLDPE to world market. Qapco's vision, behind such participation, is to widely exist on world markets; in Europe, Middle East and the rest of the world and also to be in contact with the latest development of the plastics processing industry and plastics technology.

Dr Mohammed Yousef Al Mulla, GM of Qapco and Qatofin expressed his pleasure in taking part in K-2010. "K-2010 is an important opportunity for us to meet our old customers and discuss various matters relating to plastics industry, to gain new potential customers and to be in contact with the latest developments of the plastics processing industry and plastics technology," Al Mulla said.
