Sharjah Water and Electricity Authority mum about the cause of recent blackouts
Residents of Khor Fakkan suffered two blackouts in the last couple of days, each lasting about two hours.
According to a report in '7Days' parts of Sharjah also was hit by power cuts, as residents prepare themselves for yet another long and humid summer.
Abdul Azeez, a Khor Fakkan resident, was quoted as saying some people spent time in their cars. They fear the trend may continue.
Meanwhile, despite a public outcry Sharjah Water and Electricity Authority is mum about the cause of the recent power cuts in parts of emirate. Most families with kids have planned to leave the country next month fearing continued cuts like last year.
However, some residents are more positive as President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan had pledged Dh6billion worth improvements in March to help solve power and water supply problems in the Northern Emirates.
