Companies presented a well-planned approach for the 'mobile enterprise' that strengthens security, automates workflows, uses contextual policies, and meets compliance mandates

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, 1st March , 2015 - Aruba Networks, Inc. and its distributor partner Oxygen participated at the IDC CIO Summit that took place at Atlantis The Palm, Dubai between February 25--26, 2015. The two companies have had high level discussions with conference attendees centred around the theme 'Secure Mobility: Don't Fight it, Manage it'.

Bashar Bashaireh, Regional Director, Gulf and Pakistan at Aruba Networks Middle East says, "Enterprise organizations today are allowing a new generation of users known as #GenMobile to maximize productivity by relying on their mobile devices for every aspect of work and personal communication. They demand to stay connected to everything all the time and are driving the demand for the all-wireless workplace. Consequently, network security concerns about the emerging mobile enterprise have been launched into prominence. In addition to questions about security and compliance risks, the demands of #GenMobile are pushing already lean IT resources to the limit. And as C-level executives continue to join the growing ranks of #GenMobile and become staunch advocates of enterprise mobility, managing lofty new security expectations has become real and necessary."

Aruba Networks and Oxygen had an exhibition booth at the event where executives from both companies engaged with CIOs and senior level IT executives and discuss various aspects of mobile security including imposing policies based on user roles, device attributes and other contextual data which ensures secure mobility for everyone, regardless of location or device type; protecting the mobility infrastructure using stateful software-based controls and network intelligence that mitigates attacks; securing every connected device through automated on boarding, guest access and business workflows and safeguarding the network while ensuring industry and regulatory compliance through real-time device profiling and posture assessments.

Mr. Khalid Laban, CEO, Oxygen says, "The goal for IT is not only to enable enhanced collaboration, faster response times and increased productivity as organizations evolve to the all-wireless workplace, but also to ensure that an organization's data and reputation are secure. As cloud and BYOD make securing the infrastructure ever more crucial to protecting data and attacks on enterprise networks can cost millions of dollars to organizations every year. The IDC CIO event gives us a platform to showcase Oxygen's Secure Mobility Solutions and engage in high level discussions with IT heads, understand the unique market needs and address various mobility related security concerns that regional organizations have."

Executives from Aruba and Oxygen also participated as panellists on a 'Banking and Finance' related breakout session, providing their insights into the unique mobility related IT security issues facing this sector and how banks and financial institutions can combat these challenges.
