Muscat: Oman Cables Industry (OCI) and South Korea's Samsung have signed a framework agreement to supply electrical cables for Samsung's EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) projects worldwide.
This is a landmark achievement for Oman Cables, which is a major player in the Middle East, to be associated with a global company like Samsung and is the first of the global relationships OCI is actively pursuing, the company said in a statement posted on the Muscat Securities Market.
The company's shares soared 7.31 per cent to touch RO1.116 amid 108,830 shares changing hand. The agreement was signed on November 29 at the Oman Embassy in Seoul, South Korea.
