Morocco - Casablanca Stock Exchange ended the week in the black, snapping the losing streak started on Monday. The Moroccan All Shares Index (MASI) gained during the last trading session of the week 0.28% to 4,650.72, and the Most Active Shares Index (MADEX) 0.3% to 3,610.34.
Friday's volume totaled 240,542 shares generating a turnover of a little less than MAD 100 million.
Total market capitalization now stands at MAD 210.1 billion.
Shares of the steel manufacturer SONASID were up 0.35% to MAD 859 in the fourth largest volume of the day. BMCE Bank also closed up by 0.35% to MAD 573. A block-trade transaction of 35,000 shares was recorded early in the morning at MAD 565 per share.
Its competitor BCP gained 0.28% to MAD 722. A total of 3,094 shares of the Casablanca-based financial institution were traded during the session.
Itissalat Al-Maghrib slipped by 0.46% to MAD 83 and was the most active. A total of 174,126 shares of the telecom company changed hands on Friday.
