Millennium & Copthorne Hotels announced the signing of its frequent flyer global agreement with Saudi Arabia's national carrier, Saudia, and Alfursan the airline's loyalty program, underlining its commitment to developing a strong brand presence across the Kingdom.

The partnership will allow Alfursan members to start earning 500 base miles for every qualifying room stay and 1,500 base miles for suite accommodation at any of the Millennium & Copthorne properties across Asia Pacific, Europe, North America, New Zealand and the Middle East.

Members will be able to increase their air miles at the Group's distinctive brands, which include Grand Millennium, Millennium, Copthorne, Millennium Executive Apartments and Kingsgate.

The new partnership with Saudia and Alfursan supports Millennium & Copthorne's recent market entry into the Kingdom, with the opening of Millennium Taiba Hotel Madinah.

It also aligns with the company's extensive growth plans, with up to 10,000 keys in the pipeline making it one of the fastest growing hotel companies in the region.

Naeem Darkazally, VP Sales & Marketing of Millennium & Copthorne MEA said: "We are delighted to add another world-class airline to our frequent flyer program as we strive to enhance our guests' experience and offer even better value.

With up to 20 high profile properties set to open across the next five years, Saudi Arabia has been identified as a key strategic focus for the Group and this partnership further reinforces our confidence in the Kingdom."

Hussain Gumairi, general manager, Alfursan said: "We are pleased to enter into an agreement with a reputable global hotel group such as Millennium & Copthorne, particularly as it has a presence in many of the destinations that Saudia flies to.

We look forward to awarding our Alfursan members miles by choosing to stay with Millennium & Copthorne and to the start of a long-standing relationship."
