04 April 2011
Giza Systems, Raya Holding, Summit Holding, and Microsoft have joined forces to launch a series of fundraising events to support those injured during the 25th January Revolution. As part of their corporate social responsibility, the sponsoring companies have come together for the welfare and rebuilding of Egypt.

Their initiative, 'Min Masry Le Masry', will start off with a bazaar scheduled for Friday, 8th April, at the Sawy Culture Wheel, in Zamalek.  The event will be open to the public and will represent a venue for the sale of merchandise and donations.

Merchandise with the revolution theme will be sold at the event and all the proceeds from the merchandise will be donated to fund surgeries, such as cornea replacements, arms and legs prosthetics, and post-surgery rehabilitation, as well as vocational rehabilitation.

The aim of the initiative is not only to fund surgeries, but to also reinforce the economy by manufacturing most of the merchandise locally to support the different factories and print houses.

The donations and the proceeds will go to the Alaa Charity NGO.  It will collaborate with Misr El Kheir to ensure that the funds reach those truly in need, and cover as many governorates as possible.

For all those interested in donating to the cause, the Alaa NGO CIB account number is:  9790100029.  To find out more about the event and the upcoming fundraisers, please visit the event's facebook page.
