Kish gas field production will reach 3bcf
Kish gas field is expected to produce some 3 billion cubic feet (bcf) of gas, 45,000 barrels of gas condensates and 2.9 bcf of light gas per day.Announcing the above, managing director of Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC), Naji Saadouni said development project of the Phase 1 of the gas field is currently underway, IRNA reported on Tuesday.
He noted that agreements on the development of phases 2 and 3 have been signed as well.
Saadouni said Kish gas field is located 30 kilometers from Iranian Lavan Island in the Persian Gulf.
He put the volume of in-place gas and gas condensates reserves of the field at 48 trillion cubic feet (tcf) and 514 million barrels respectively.
Once the first phase becomes operational, the field will produce some one billion cubic feet of gas and 15,000 barrels of gas condensates.
