Iraqi ministry of oil announced here today that last March oil exports and revenues were increased, in comparison to the previous month.

Spokesman Asim Jihad announced that the exported quantities in March 2013 reached to 74.9 million barrels and the revenues achieved the figure of $ 7.772 billion.

He elaborated that Basra exports reached to 65.1 million barrels, with $ 6.764 in revenues, while Kirkuk exported 9.8 million barrels that achieved $ 1.008 billion in outcome.

"The average price of each barrel reached to $ 103.765", he added.

The oil exported was done by 28 international companies on both Iraqi and Turkish terminals, in addition to Jordan by trucks.

The ministry used to announce these figures monthly "out of transparency in its dealings".
