Tehran - The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and Austria's OMV have signed a deal to carry out joint studies on hydrocarbon force of salt domes in Zagros and Persian Gulf regions in southwest and south of Iran respectively.
Tehran - The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and Austria's OMV have signed a deal to carry out joint studies on hydrocarbon force of salt domes in Zagros and Persian Gulf regions in southwest and south of Iran respectively.
On the deal, Director of Exploration at NIOC Saleh Hendi has said that it is aimed at identifying likely exploration targets in those two regions with focus on functions of the salt domes.
The joint study, he said, will last for two years and the Austrian side is to meet all expenses of that study.
OMV, an integrated international oil and gas company, is headquartered in Vienna, Austria.
