24th July 2016, DUBAI: G4S, the largest security solutions provider in the world, has announced the appointment of Alida Scholtz as CEO and MD for its UAE operations. She brings a wealth of experience from service industries as well as the manufacturing sector, and will be reporting directly to Claude Allain, President, G4S Middle East and India.

In her previous role, Alida was Vice President and International Controller at Hertz. During her 20-year career, she has managed more than 67 markets including Middle East, Africa, South America, and Europe. Alida has an illustrious track record of maximizing operations for profits, commercial optimization, driving turnaround, change management, and building successful teams.

Commenting on the appointment, Claude Allain, Regional President, Middle East and India says, G4S in the UAE is gearing up for further growth and new developments in the region. Alida has the ideal combination of passion, relevant experience and proven leadership abilities that will have a positive impact on the progress and better performance of the company.

At Hertz, Alida led a five-year corporate and global program, which will deliver US $250 million in savings through transformation activities. She was also appointed as the General Manager and Site Lead of Hertz in Dublin in addition to her role in International Finance. She was part of the Board of Director of Probus serving as a non-executive director advising on risk management for Europe. Prior to this she was the Regional Director Finance and Shared Services at Johnson Controls International based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
