MUSCAT -- Ford Middle East and Saud Bahwan Group, the Ford, Lincoln and Mercury distributors in Oman, presented the latest 2011 Ford product and technology line-up to a host of key fleet customers at a special preview event at Grand Hyatt Muscat. During the event, customers had an insight into Ford Motor Company's latest achievements in quality, safety and powertrain technologies, as well as the latest Fleet specific innovations and solutions that both companies offered.
Jihad Baroudi, Ford Middle East's general manager for Fleet Sales, said: "We are thrilled to host this meeting as we have so much to talk about to our customers. Ford Motor Company's success story continues as our line-up grows from strength to strength. "Ford continues its leadership drive within the industry as we reap the results of our efforts with the introduction of our latest products that feature dynamic and sporty looks, all-new powertrains, better fuel economy, industry leading quality, and most importantly, premium and unique technologies that you wouldn't have thought you'd find in a Ford at an affordable price," Baroudi said.
Ford Motor Company's latest achievement came in last week when it took top honours in the 15th annual Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards, presented at the Automotive News World Congress in Detroit. Ford received awards in several categories, including: Overall Loyalty to Manufacturer; Overall Loyalty to Make; and Mid/Full-Size Pick-up for its F-Series truck line-up, a repeat winner in the category. This year marks the first time Ford has won the Overall Loyalty to Manufacturer category since 1999, with a loyalty percentage of 61.8.
Additionally, Ford retained 62 per cent of its owners in a recent JD Power and Associates 2010 Customer Retention StudySM leading the automotive industry. The study measures retention rates of current customers and determines loyalty factors. According to the study, customers cite fun to drive as a top reason to remain loyal to their brand, compared to expected resale value as in the past.
Baroudi continued, "These results are clearly evident as both industry experts and consumers alike are voting for Ford with their voices and wallets as they realise and witness Ford's leadership in all the important areas that matter to our customers." Baroudi also praised Shaikh Mohammed Saud Bahwan, 'I would like to compliment the Chairman of Saud Bahwan Group for his continued investments in a world class infrastructure, trained manpower and strategic marketing initiatives in Oman'.
Speaking on the occasion, a senior representative from Saud Bahwan Group remarked, "For 2011, the Ford and Lincoln brands feature one of their most refreshed line-ups ever. We are thrilled to feature the new generation of Ford and Lincoln models which are the result of the company's drive towards delivering class-leading and winning products."
"Arabian Car Marketing also prides itself in the outstanding customer service and satisfaction levels that our team offers. And for this year, we continue to go from strength to strength as we strive to develop special solutions to better serve our fleet customers from the actual sales process to the equally important service and maintenance stages."
Ford's latest line-up includes unique and Ford-exclusive features that benefit fleet businesses in terms of fuel economy and safety. These include -- EcoBoost, MyKey™, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) with Cross Traffic Alert, Ford Sync™, MyFord™ and MyFord Touch™.
Ford Motor Company is leading the way in developing new safety technologies for millions of customers and continues to work tirelessly to design new ways to keep its customers safer in its vehicles.
Today, Ford leads the industry in both National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) 5-star safety ratings and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) "Top Safety Pick" ratings.
Ford Motor Company's efforts to be an industry leader in quality are paying off. Ford is ranked No 1 among non-luxury brands in the 2010 JD Power and Associates Initial Quality Study. Additionally, Ford won an industry-leading five segment awards in the JD Power APEAL study.
