Dubai, April 22, 2010: Emirates Post has opened a new postal facility at the Centre for Integrated Government Services (TAMM) in Al Marfa in the western region.
The new centre was opened by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler in Western Region. Also present on the occasion were Saqer Ghobash, UAE Minister of Labour and Hamoud Al Mansoori, Director General of Western area Municipality, Khalid Al Sa'adi, Deputy Director, 1st Postal Zone, and other dignitaries.
"This expansion is a natural response to the dynamic growth witnessed in Abu Dhabi, and we make sure that all our offices incorporate all elements of our modernization program," said Mr. Ibrahim Bin Karam, CEO, Emirates Post. "We are continually striving to take postal services to the farthest corners of the UAE, after assessing the needs of the population."
The new post office will offer a variety of services, such as money transfer, utility bill payment, telephone cards, etc. The centre is open from 7.30 am to 3.30 pm, from Saturday to Thursday.
