Dubai, June 24th, 2012 (WAM) -- Eng. Hussein Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality received in his office Consul General of Japan Daisuke Matsunaga.

This comes within the framework of visits by members of the diplomatic and consular corps to the municipality to consult on relevant matters between the parties in the areas of municipal work.

DG, Dubai Municipality welcomed the Consul hailing relations between Dubai and Japanese cities, especially in the context of a friendship agreement recently signed with the City of Osaka, Japan.

Lootah presented a profile of projects, systems and services provided by Dubai Municipality to the community, stressing support for the government to provide good high-end services to the community in accordance with its vision and strategy.

For his part, the Japanese Consul said that the remarkable growth of Dubai, the good reputation and excellent relationships with the various cities of the world is a sign of sincere effort to strengthen cooperation, interdependence and solidarity with the world's cities.

He emphasized the importance of exchanging more visits between Dubai and Japanese cities over the future to strengthen ties of cooperation and brotherhood.
