Domestic-to-work visa transfer to 'restart' beginning of June

Al-Kandari added an applicant who wishes to transfer his/her domestic visa to work visa must meet certain conditions. One of the conditions state the applicant must hold a valid residence permit. Another condition says the applicant can transfer domestic visa to work visa provided the sponsor is the same.
In other news the official said the ministry spares no efforts to process the visit visa applications by issuing appropriate laws.
In a related story, sources were quoted as saying some directors at the ministry have treated visitors crudely and delayed transactions, ever since the sector minister Ahmad Al-Rujaib moved to the ministry building in Abdullah Al-Salem Area, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Sources hope the minister would visit his office in the ministries' complex to inspect the work there, after visitors have submitted over 30 complaints against the directors of labor departments due to bad treatment they have received in their hands.
Furthermore, sources revealed that the ministry has issued nearly 2 million work permits from the time when the ministry started applying the automated system in April, 2010. They pointed out that almost 94 percent of data regarding expatriate personnel in the private sector have been updated.
