Hizbullah gives aid to displaced Iraqi Christians

13 January 2011

BEIRUT: A Hizbullah delegation offered 700 aid packages to displaced Iraqi Christians in Mount Lebanon during a visit Wednesday to the Archbishopric of Chaldean Assyrians. According to the National News Agency, Chaldean Monsignor Michel Kassarji said during the meeting that “the initiative that Hizbullah offered through its generosity toward our people in Lebanon deserves considerable appreciation … it marks the good works and openness of Hizbullah.” Hizbullah representative Bilal Dagher, who was joined by officials from the Free Patriotic Movement and the Marada Movement, said the aid symbolized the brotherhood between Muslims and Christians in Lebanon, Iraq and the Arab World. – The Daily Star
