MUSCAT -- Consolidated Contractors Company (Oman), one of the leading companies in the field of contracting, road construction and building works in the Sultanate, will hire 300 Omanis as part of its workforce. Salim al Mahrouqi, CCC Personnel Affairs Director, said: "This is in tune with our efforts to enable the young Omanis to explore the depths of the construction sector in the Sultanate, and supply the efforts made by the government to provide job opportunities for locals in the private sector".
He said the decision to employ 300 Omanis reflects the belief of the company's management to support Omanisation. "The new Omani hires will be deployed in the areas of civil engineering, architecture, road engineering, quantity accounting, project planning, quality engineering and other technical jobs," he said. About the company's plan to raise the levels of Omanisation, Salim said the company pays great attention to human resources, believing in the importance of development of young Omanis by giving them enough opportunities to work in the company.
"Over the years, CCC has managed to achieve significant rise in the levels of Omanisation. The company was able to achieve this through training and employment in co-operation with the Ministry of Manpower," he added. On the company's plans in the training and rehabilitation field, Salim pointed out that CCC has its own training centre in Jefnin, where Omanis are trained for various roles and are employed directly in the company's projects at the end of the training period. He stressed that the company is proceeding with plans to accommodate qualified Omanis allowing them to work and offering chances of development and growth.
