Tehran - Bahraini Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman dismissed Head of Media Authority Shaikh Fawaz al-Khalifa for broadcasting the news that 300 Shiite intellectuals avoided attending a TV interview. Confirming the news, Fawaz told al-Arabiya website that 300 Bahraini Shiite intellectuals were invited to attend a TV interview but they rejected it.
The news was covered by the country's official news agency but it was omitted at the earliest.
Reportedly, the news was omitted because the prime minister was angry with its coverage and dismissed Fawaz.
