His Excellency Sheikh Hesham Bin Mohamed Al Khalifa, Deputy General Manager for non-financial services of Bahrain Development Bank ("BDB") and Houssam Nasrawin, President of the Franco-Emirati business organization Arab Business Leaders ("ABL") signed a MOU on January 21, 2015 in Paris to work together for strengthening business ties between Europe and the GCC and mainly the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The MOU outlines the basis for the both parties' future collaboration. The partnership will mainly focus on attracting European investors and companies to Bahrain, fostering entrepreneurship initiative in Bahrain with the support of European institutions and developing cooperation between the two regions for women empowerment. Moreover, BDB and ABL agreed to work on increasing the competitiveness of SMEs in Bahrain and to support them in their international strategy mainly to deal with the European market.
