New Premium Class Configuration & Entertainment Systems Planned for Fleet

Dubai, 12th January 2012 - Bahrain Air, the Kingdom of Bahrain's second national carrier, has announced its participation at the 2012 Bahrain International Air Show 2012, which will be held from the 19th of January to the 21stof January

2012 at the Sakhir Air base in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain. The show is seen by the airline as an advantageous platform to promote greater awareness of the hybrid airline's services, network, cost effective pricing regimes for passengers and onboard Business/Premium class and Economy class services.

The Managing Director, Capt. Ibrahim Al Hamer, said: "We are glad to participate for the second time in the Bahrain International Air Show which gives the Bahrain aviation industry a great boost in exposure in both the region and the globe". He also stated: "Bahrain Air today operates to 18 destinations and plays a major role in linking the Kingdom of Bahrain, the financial center of the Middle East, to major cities in the GCC, Levant, Africa, Indian Sub-continent and Europe through Istanbul, with a fleet of modern Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft".

Mr. Richard Nuttall, who was appointed as CEO from the 1st of December 2011 is optimistic regarding the growth of the carrier and stated: "Whilst 2011 was a difficult year for all in the industry, we are expecting traffic to improve in 2012. At Bahrain Air, we are continuously looking at ways to extend and improve our current offerings. Bahrain Air plans to operate to six more destinations this year, which will be announced once we receive the required government approvals. We have successfully migrated to a new flight booking reservations system, giving our valued customers more flexibility and additional options for services when they book with us. A passenger can chose from different fares depending on whether price, flexible travel dates or class of service is most important. We are also gradually introducing services such as the ability to select seats, blankets, insurance or even a celebratory cake. We encourage our customers to book early to avail the early bird incentive, where a portion of our tickets are sold at up to 35% less than usual market rates. Bahrain Air's advanced pricing mechanism promotes lower pricing for customers who book their seats early".

The airline has also made strides to enhance the information and usability of its website based on customer feedback including dedicated sections for both passengers and corporate clients. Bahrain Air's Marketing Manager Mr. Naeem Mahamoor stated: "The website is available in both English and Arabic with future regional customization in the pipeline. Our prime focus for 2012 will be increasing value-added services that offer flexibility and consistency for the various market segments that we serve including business travel, leisure, pilgrim, charters and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, and Conferences & Exhibitions). As the region's Premium Value Carrier, Bahrain Air aircraft will soon be refitted with a new business class seat configuration and will introduce state-of-the-art on board entertainment systems for premium class passengers.

Such services will be implemented to tailor to the business community's needs and naturally provided through attractive and extremely competitive fares. We are also revisiting our menu on the different sectors to provide the best localized culinary options for our passengers."
