Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority (BECA), has signed a sponsorship agreement with Coca Cola for them to sponsor the 3rd Annual Food and Hospitality Expo.

The expo will take place at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre, (BEICC) from 8-10 February 2011.

Mohamed Al Ahmadi, acting CEO for BECA, signed the agreement on behalf of BECA, and Shibu Thomas, Marketing and Business Development Manager, for Bahrain and Qatar Coca Cola, signed on behalf of the sponsor.

"BECA is delighted yet again, to have the support of Coca Cola. Bahrain as one of our leading sponsors and thank the management for its continued support for this important event in Bahrain's exhibition Calendar. With continued local support, The Food and Hospitality Expo has been growing rapidly and over the years emerged as a true reflection of the success of the government's strategy to position Bahrain as a key destination for business to business exhibitions," BECA in a statement said.

Dedicated to the food, beverage and hospitality industries, the Expo will bring together an international audience of professionals providing an ideal opportunity to facilitate business transactions worldwide.

The Food & Hospitality Expo doubled in size in 2010 from its inaugural exhibition and is, once again, set to show tremendous growth for the 2011 event, with almost 50 per cent of space already being booked.

"We look forward with anticipation to yet another successful Food and Hospitality Expo and to the business opportunities this event provides. We thank BECA for this important initiative which provides a unique business opportunity for trading companies within the industry," said Shibu Thomas after the signing the agreement.

Coca Cola is the world's largest beverage company, refreshing consumers with nearly 500 sparkling and still brands. Globally, it is the number one provider of sparkling beverages, juices and juice drinks, Bahrain's bottling plant is one of the country's oldest establishments and the company has been a strong sponsor of many of Bahrain's key events.
