Dubai, Jan 04th, 2012 (WAM) -- Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has given directives to change the name of Dubai's Al Wasl Hospital into Latifa Hospital as a homage to the loving memory of his late mother Sheikha Latifa Bint Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
"I issued a directive today to rename Al Wasl Hospital in Dubai to "Latifa Hospital" honoring the memory of my late mother # ThankUmother" tweeted Sheikh Mohammed today through his page. Earlier last week, Sheikh Mohammed had shared with the world through Twitter, his fond memories of his beloved mother Sheikha Latifa and her profound impact on him. He also urged all people to do good to their on mothers. Thousands of people from around the world responded to him appreciating his call. Sheikh Mohammed also ordered to celebrate his accession day as Mother's Day as a respect to every mother. Sheikha Latifa Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan was known for her limitless charity, generosity and kindness to the poor and the needy, for her patience and wisdom, as well as for many good characters and ethics the Arab and Islamic culture has cultivated.
