ABU DHABI, 6th December, 2016 (WAM) -- Tadweer, the Center of Waste Management, Abu Dhabi, today launched its policies, procedures and systems project to reinforce its position as an active governmental entity for waste management services, including efficient collection, transfer, treatment, and safe disposal across the capital.

The announcement was made at an event attended by Eisa Saif Al Qubaisi, General Manager of Tadweer, departments directors and heads, employees and media representatives.

Speaking on the occasion, Eisa Saif Al Qubaisi, General Manager of Tadweer, said, "We strive to launch projects that enable us to achieve our mission and to implement integrated waste management systems and public health pest control according to the highest international standards. Our aim is to ensure unparalleled customer service, and establish high levels of awareness amongst the society and turn waste into an economic driver.""All our plans come in lines with the vision of Abu Dhabi and contributing towards its objectives, particularly the environmental preservation in parallel to the ongoing urban development to meet the capitals diversified future requirements and aspirations," he continued.

Al Qubaisi said that the project is set to achieve a set of objectives related to public, community and customer awareness, and the importance of having these segments understand its relevance.

The project is divided into stages, including reviewing and updating the policies of the human, financial and procurement resources policies. Health and safety and management control, along with the environment and security systems, will also be developed. The information security management system, risk management system and business continuity will be updated and enhanced.
