Includes 75% discount on supply fees, reduce shelves rent 60% and quick collection

Abu Dhabi Co-Operative Society grants the projects under the umbrella of Khalifa Fund patch of facilities and privileges based on agreement signed by both parties aiming to enhance the entrepreneurs and to assist them to market their products in a better way.

H. E. Ibrahim Abdulla Al Bahar the CEO of Abu Dhabi Co-op & H. E. Abdullah Saeed Al Darmaki the CEO of Khalifa Fund signed the agreement on Sunday in the Co-op headquarters. The agreement includes patch of facilities such as 75% discount on registering in suppliers' book, priority in supply, 60% discount on registering the products and renting the main shelves for three years.

The Co-op also grants the Fund's members special features in monthly collection after passing the period of testing the goods moving that lasts for 3 - 6 months.  The agreement also grants the Fund's members the supply priority after assuring they obliged to the Co-op regulations.

"The MOU will open up broad prospects for the projects funded by Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development especially for those who are specialized in retail sectors; like food industry, sweets, perfume, accessories and Zaarie member", said Al Darmaki.

"The agreement aim to enhance the innovation spirit in the country, encourage business startup among the Emiratis youths, as well as encouraging developing a vital economy sector such as small and medium enterprises sector", added Al Darmaki.

"Providing the small and medium enterprises supported by Khalifa Fund such facilities and privileges will increase their competiveness abilities and will enhance their performance in order to be able to grow. We encourage the government entities and national companies to give the support for those projects to ensure their growth", stressed Al Darmaki.

H. E. Ibrahim Abdulla Al Bahar the CEO of Abu Dhabi Co-op said, "The agreement provides number of better encouraging privileges and conditions for the entrepreneurs funded by Khalifa Fund. The Co-op will provide technical support for the entrepreneurs in vocational training field. Also, will provide the suggestion to improve their services and products quality".

Based on the agreement the Abu Dhabi Co-op will organized training sessions for the interested entrepreneurs in the field of retail and give them counselling services. The training session will include information about work mechanism and the production chain from receiving the products, storage, distribution as well as accounting systems.

During the past years, Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development succeed in building collaboration with number on national entities aiming to enhance the business environment and to support small and medium enterprises in the country and to enable the entrepreneurs to sustain their businesses to be make effective contribution into the national economy growth.
