Abu Dhabi, 19 May 2015: The Abu Dhabi City Municipality and the Embassy of Algiers in the UAE have discussed means of boosting cooperation and sharing expertise in the interest of both parties.
To this effect HE Musabbah Mubarak Al Murar, Acting General Manager, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, received HE Salih Attiyah, Ambassador of Algiers to the UAE, in the presence of several executives of the Municipality. The meeting discussed several issues of common interest and the two parties exchanged views about several topics.
Al Murar welcomed the Algerian ambassador and praised the visit as it contributes to boosting cooperative relationships in various fields. He stressed the keenness of the Municipality to share expertise with municipalities in Arab, sister and friendly countries.
During the meeting, Al Murar gave a briefing about the efforts of the Abu Dhabi City Municipality in supporting the sweeping development drive seen by Abu Dhabi Emirate, and touched on a number of objectives & projects of the Municipality. He shed light on the public utilities in place citing road networks, bridges and other services provided by the Municipality along with the master development plan aimed at enhancing the excellent performance, and harnessing digital capabilities towards providing e-services at all municipal sectors.
The meeting also discussed the means of boosting cooperation in the municipal business, reviewed mutual expertise along with the means of sharing knowledge and transferring successful practices in offering municipal services.
The Algerian Ambassador to the UAE expressed his admiration of the development plans and service facilities in Abu Dhabi, and commended the infrastructure projects, utilities and customers services provided in Abu Dhabi with the aim of ensuring decent living for all community members.
A the end of the meeting, Al Murar thanked the Algerian diplomat for taking the initiative to visit the Municipality, adding that the visit would further boost the joint communication and fraternity of the two parties. In the name of the Municipality, Al Murar presented a trophy to the visitor to mark this memorable overture.
