ABU DHABI, 19th June, 2017 (WAM) -- The Federal National Council, FNC, yesterday honoured its strategic partners from the public, private and media sectors, which co-operated with the council during its 16th legislative chapter that contributed in achieving many national and international accomplishments.

This co-operation comes under the framework of the FNCs strategic plan for 2016-2021, which represents the main foundation of its work to promote its role and the performance of its duties, in compliance with the aspirations of the UAEs wise leadership and people, to achieve the nations sustainable development goals and the UAE Vision 2021.

The honouring ceremony was attended by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Ahmed Shabib Al Dhaheri, FNC Secretary-General, as well as several FNC members and under-secretaries of ministries, and the heads of federal and local organisations and the private sector.

During her speech, Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the FNC, stressed that the concept of community partnership and participation is not temporary in the country while they are looking forward to presenting, through this exceptional strategic partnership, an outstanding model of community co-operation between the FNC and representatives of the UAE people and the public, private and media sectors, to achieve the best investment in the UAE community and support the UAE Vision 2021.

She highlighted the fact that the first and second ordinary sessions of the 16th legislative chapter witnessed many achievements and successes, in light of the co-operation with its strategic partners that is worth their appreciation. She added that the entire FNC appreciates what they have offered to achieve the strategic parliamentary goals.

She also highlighted the FNCs desire to benefit from all the capacities of the community and support team spirit, which represent the main traits of the performance of the UAEs leadership and government, as well as their positive participation to achieve the nations ambitious development goals, in order to be worthy of the trust of the UAE leadership, under President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
