ANKARA, Aug 29 (Reuters) - Syrian-Kurdish YPG fighters are reinforcing the town of Manbij, captured this month from Islamic State, with weapons and personnel, security sources in the region told Reuters on Monday.

A Syrian rebel commander said on Sunday that Turkey-backed rebels aimed to capture the city from Kurdish-allied forces. urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nL8N1B907F
