Dec 8 (Reuters) - Some Middle East stock markets will close to mark the birthday of Prophet Mohammed, notices from the exchanges said.

Markets in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt will shut on Sunday and reopen on Monday.

Oman and Jordan will close on Monday and reopen on Tuesday.

Kuwait is closed on Thursday Dec. 8.

Morocco has said it will close on Monday and Tuesday. (Reporting by Andrew Torchia)
