KUWAIT CITY: The oil sector plans to employ about 6,845 Kuwaitis over the next five years starting from fiscal 2018/2019, reports Al-Anba daily quoting an official oil source.
The source pointed out the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiaries intend to employ about 1,810 Kuwaitis within the next fiscal year, bringing the number of new employees in the oil sector during the current fiscal and the next to 4,000 Kuwaitis.
The source added the KPC has abided by more than its commitment to employ citizens compared to the former plan that requested the employment of 1,200 graduates and workers during the current fiscal year.
