RIYADH: The German Saudi Arabian Liaison Office for Economic Affairs (GESALO) has signed agreements with six strategic partners to strengthen German-Saudi business relations.

Oliver Oehms, delegate of German Industry and Commerce for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen, said that the companies included Coperion, Lufthansa, S.A. Talke, Thyssenkrupp, V-LINE and Vivantes Hospital Group.

“GESALO is proud to closely collaborate with partner companies, which have proven to be reliable partners for the Kingdom across different sectors,” Oehms said.

GESALO, registered name for AHK Saudi Arabia, is the official representative of the German economy in Saudi Arabia. More than 700 German companies are actively engaged in business activities in the Kingdom. In 2015, Germany was the third most important trade partner of Saudi Arabia.

The bilateral trade volume between the two countries touched 11 billion euros (SR44 billion). Germany’s most important products exported to the Kingdom include machinery and automotive parts.
