UNB has become the first organization from the Private Sector and the first Bank to have undertaken the Global Star Rating System for Services. 

In line with the vision of UAE to be one of the best countries in the world by the year 2021, H.H. Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President & Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the Emirates Government Service Excellence Program which has now been extended to the private sector with the aim to achieve transparency and creating a competitive environment for various business and service channels such as service centres, contact centers and smart applications.

The Global Star Rating System for Services complements the Happiness & Positivity Program for the Private Sector launched by the Minister of State for Happiness to support UAE Government Mission to achieve a happier society.

The Global Star Rating System for Services includes assessment of service quality, customer relationship management, human resources, IT systems, products, processes, services and delivery channels. Upon a multi stage and rigorous assessment by the Prime Minister’s office and LRQA UNB Salam branch has been rated 4 Star, thereby becoming the first organization from the private sector to achieve this recognition.

UNB Chairman, Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan commented “UNB is committed to partner with the Prime Minister’s Office and UAE Central Bank in raising the bar of customer service and efficiency with the objective of a happier society.  In line with the UAE leadership vision the Global Star Rating program is planned to be cascaded to other UNB branches”.

Speaking on the occasion, H.E Mubarak Al Mansoori, the Governor of the Central Bank of the UAE commented “Embarking on the concept of Customer Happiness in the banking sector is at the center of the Central Bank strategy of 2017 -2021”

“The implementing of the Global Star Rating System for services in banking sector is in line with the UAE vision to be one of the best countries by 2021”, commented Hessa Essa Buhumaid, The Assistant Director General for Government Services and Pioneership in Prime Minister’s Office.

UNB Salam branch assessment report has also been shared with the UAE Central Bank by the Prime Minister’s Office, which has complimented UNB’s pioneering efforts ‘to embark on such standard that fosters excellence in the customer journey.
