ABU DHABI, 11th March 2017 (WAM) - Abu Dhabi General Services Company "Musanada" announced that work is progressing in 10 veterinary clinics across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, whereby 6 of which will be handed over to Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) in the near future.
The project is part of Musanadas efforts to contribute to the achievement of the objectives of Abu Dhabi Plan concerning food security and sustainable agriculture sector, ensuring safety of food and customer case in the local community.
The project consists of five clinics in the western region with a total cost of nearly AED13 Million; four clinics in Al Ain with a total cost of nearly AED10 Million; as well as one clinic in Abu Dhabi with a total cost of nearly AED3 Million.
"The percentage of completion in the western region clinics is at a very advanced stage, and these are expected to be handed over to ADFCA by end of March, while the veterinary clinic in Al Wathba will be handed over before that time, and the percentage of completion of the veterinary clinics project in Al Ain clinics has reached 13%," explained Ahmed Al Habshi, Buildings Acting Director at Musanada.
Speaking about the project in the western region and Abu Dhabi city, Al Habshi added: "The project works included rehabilitation of the 500-square meter veterinary clinics in Muzeria, Khanour, Al Tharwaniah and Ghayathi in the western region, in addition to the veterinary clinic in Al Wathba stretching over 3,158 square meters." The project works in these clinics included rehabilitation of the fences and facades of the clinics, modifications made to certain departments, merging certain spaces for a better alignment with the current needs of the clinic operation. The ground of the clinic departments was rehabilitated as well as the ceilings of the rooms at the reception and waiting areas, examination room, operation room, the surgical area dedicated for big animals, field operations team office, pharmacy and other utilities such as administration offices, doctor offices, the store, medical laboratory in addition to providing clinics with fire detection systems in line with the latest requirements of the civil defense.
Musanada also developed Al Wathba veterinary clinic by rehabilitating and equipping the clinics medical laboratories with modern, advanced equipment to perform surgeries and laboratory tests on animals in line with highest standards. The Company also developed the rooms allocated for sick animals, veterinary incubators and post-operation rooms. The project also included improvement and development of the ward dedicated for examination and treatment of falcons and birds comprising three main areas: isolation of sick falcons, an area used as a falcon garden and a Majlis for falcon owners.
In Al Ain, the project included rehabilitation of four 500-square-metr clinics in Al Qattara, Zakher, Malaqet and Seih Sabra. The project works included rehabilitation of reception and waiting areas, examination and operation rooms, field operations team office, pharmacy administration offices, doctor offices and stores.
Al Habshi concluded by reaffirming Musanadas full commitment to deliver the project in line with highest international standards and taking into account the latest environmental safety and health standards, including preservation of resources.
Commenting on the project, Eng. Thamer Rashed Al Qassimi, ADFCAs official spokesperson praised the key role played by Abu Dhabi General Services "Musanada" in supporting government entities to enhance the quality of services provided to the community, noting the importance of this project in strengthening ADFCAs efforts to develop and preserve the livestock sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi via the various services provided to livestock breeders by veterinary clinics, stating that ADFCA was able to create an efficient system to provide veterinary services, and technical supervision and guidance in modern scientific methods and highly technical and technological capabilities to provide best veterinary and health services to animals, emphasizing that this project will realize on ground ADFCAs expectations concerning provision of high quality veterinary services, creation of a productive and conducive working environment by developing the facilities and equipping them with latest staff comfort and safety requirements in order to achieve job satisfaction and happiness.
