SHARJAH, 19th June, 2017 (WAM) The Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, SEWA, has announced that 8,325 schematics and project designs have been approved from the beginning of this year until mid-June 2017 through the Smart Plan service launched by the Common Services Management at the Authority.

The approved plans include 4,565 smart plans for electricity projects, 1,691 smart plans for water, and 2,069 smart plans for gas projects.

Rashid Al Leem, Chairman of SEWA, said that the launch of the Smart Plan service comes in line with the directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to provide the best services to the population of the emirate.

He stressed that the authority is keen to provide high-quality services in the field of electricity, water and natural gas and achieve the direction of the Government of Sharjah for smart transformation using modern technology.

Maryam Obaid Bin Hashim, Director of the Common Services Management, explained that the Smart Plan service has contributed to lowering the waiting time from 45 minutes to 8 minutes in clearing the transaction.
