ABU DHABI, 15th February, 2017 (WAM) -- Abu Dhabi Ports, the master developer, operator and manager of the emirates commercial and community ports, as well as the Khalifa Industrial Zone, has obtained ISO 9001:2015 certification, an internationally recognised standard for quality management systems.

The scope of the ISO certification covers all units and subsidiaries of Abu Dhabi Ports, including Abu Dhabi Marine Services, SAFEEN, and Maqta Gateway, the companys innovative port community system.

The certification was awarded to Abu Dhabi Ports following a successful audit of the companys management system by Lloyds Register of Quality Assurance, LRQA.

Commenting on the occasion, Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports, said, "Since inception, instituting quality management processes has been at the top of our priorities in order to achieve excellence and enhance competitiveness.
