Nearly 80 percent of employees in the UAE are bored of their jobs, among the highest ratios in the world, according to a newly-released study.

Salary benchmarking website Emoluments latest survey revealed that with professionals in the UAE receiving high salaries are more likely to tolerate boring jobs or companies, even while working six days a week. Read more here

Another possible factor behind sticking with a tedious job is concern about quitting in a tough economic climate.

The UAE results are on par with Italys, where 83 percent of employees also find their jobs boring. Many Italians are often content with job security amid economic uncertainty, according to the survey.

Legal, accounting, finance, sales and engineering professionals top this years list of most bored employees worldwide, whereas research and education were among the least boring jobs.  Read more here
