Dubai – Intertek, a Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide announced that it has awarded the ISO 22000 certificate to Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) for its Food Safety Management System. 

Intertek granted the ISO 22000 certification to DWTC following a series of thorough audits over a period of six months.The ISO 22000 standard sets out the requirements for a food safety management system and offers a framework for management commitment, interactive communication, the implementation of pre-requisite programmes and the continual improvement of the system.The certification provides DWTC with a systemic approach to ensure its hospitality business possesses the ability to control food safety hazards across its supply chain and reinforces its commitment to customer satisfaction.Mohammed Al Jumairi, Vice President, Event Operations, DWTC said: “This certification from Intertek provides DWTC’s hospitality division with a solid framework that will help us to amplify and improve our standards of food safety and hygiene across our catering operations.
