Dubai/Singapore - TVM Capital Healthcare Partners, a private equity firm focused on emerging markets and dedicated to healthcare investments, is growing its reach to Southeast Asia to meet the increasing demand for specialist healthcare services. The firm has partnered with three healthcare professionals appointed as external advisors in Singapore to the Dubai-based investment team.

The advisory team brings deep healthcare and investment expertise to TVM Capital Healthcare with extensive experience in the Southeast Asia region. Responsible for supporting TVM Capital Healthcare Partners' Dubai-based investment team and operations group, these senior advisers will serve to replicate TVM Capital Healthcare's success seen in other emerging markets such as the GCC, as well as drive investments into healthcare services to meet the Southeast Asia region's needs in healthcare.

·        Dr Ronald Ling, Operating Partner, has over 20 years of experience working with healthcare companies in a variety of senior consulting, operational, and private equity investment roles.  As a Partner with Schroder Capital Partners where he managed a $500 million Asian growth capital/buyout fund, Dr Ling worked across all phases of the deal cycle, including structuring, operational support and exits.  He held active board roles with investee companies Parkway Holdings, Asia's largest private healthcare company and Strides Arcolab, an India-based global generic pharma company, among others.  He was also previously Managing Director and Leader of Pricewaterhouse Coopers' healthcare practice across Asia and spent five years as a consultant with McKinsey & Co in the UK, working primarily with pharmaceutical clients. Dr Ling holds an MA (1st class) in Physiological Sciences from Oxford University, MBBS in Medicine from London University and an MBA from INSEAD.

·        Karen Tay KohSenior Advisor, has extensive experience in private and public sector organisations in healthcare and education, with multiple assignments across the globe.  Karen was Deputy CEO of SingHealth from 2001 to 2008, Singapore's largest public delivery network at the time, and concurrently as Deputy CEO of Singapore General Hospital from 2003.  She has served on several Boards, including: Denmark-based Falck, the largest privately-owned global ambulance and emergency services provider; Northeastern University Corporation, Boston USA; and EDB Investments, Singapore.  The first 19 years of Karen's career was spent in Singapore's Ministry of Finance, primarily focused on fiscal policy, corporate regulation and international finance.

·        Hui Hsing Ma, Senior Advisor, has worked with TVM Capital Group since 2004 in East Asia. She brings over 15 years of healthcare investment and advisory experience, starting in 2000 as Senior Vice President, at the Temasek VC firm, Vertex Ventures, where she co-led their US$80 million healthcare investments in US and European companies and funds. Prior to 2000, Hui Hsing spent over 14 years in global corporate finance and general management, primarily with BNP Paribas, General Electric (USA) and Morgan Grenfell.
