RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) reaffirmed its reputation for operational reliability and efficiency and their long term commitments, as it continues to provide its customers with compelling, competitive and tangible advantages in an evolving LNG market. 

RasGas marked a milestone with its delivery of the 500th long term LNG cargo to their long term customer CPC Corporation, Taiwan (CPC) on March 5, 2016.

The 500th LNG cargo was loaded aboard CPC`s  Taitar (TaiwanQatar) No. 4 vessel at Ras Laffan port on March 5, 2016, under the long term Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) between CPC Corporation, Taiwan and Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company Limited (II).

In 2011, Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company Limited (3) and (CPC) signed  a second long term supply of LNG from RasGas which increased the annual long term sales to over five million tons per year to CPC and Taiwan. In addition, RasGas has delivered 72 cargoes, approximately 4.4 million tons of LNG to CPC on spot basis since 2007 to date.

Last year, we extended the partnership to joint corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities with CPC through the 'Energising Education' initiative. The 'Energising Education' initiative benefitted nine local schools in Taichung, Taiwan, bringing tangible benefits to hundreds of students in the local community by providing improvements and upgrades to educational resources and facilitates better learning opportunities for students.

RasGas currently operates the Ras Laffan Helium Plant which was established in 2003 and came on stream in 2005. The plant extracts, purifies and liquefies helium from the North Field.
