Dubai: Network International, the leading payment solutions provider in the MENA region, today announced that it has won the prestigious 2015 Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award - Silver category. The award recognises the company's stellar performance and growth across business lines in recent years.

The award was presented by His Highness Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, to Abdulla Qassem, Chairman of Network International, at a distinguished ceremony held yesterday 8 December, 2015, in Abu Dhabi.

Speaking on the side-lines of the ceremony, Abdulla Qassem said: "We are honoured to receive this significant award as it recognises Network International's transformation journey over the years into the region's most innovative and leading payment solutions provider, with world-class products, services and operations."

The leading acquirer and card payments processor in the Middle East and Africa, Network International is jointly owned by Emirates NBD, one of the largest banking groups in the UAE, and global investment firms Warburg Pincus and General Atlantic. The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA) was launched by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ADCCI) in 1999 as a blueprint, a roadmap and a methodology for continuous improvement aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the business sector in Abu Dhabi and the UAE. Over the long history of SKEA more than 10,000 organisations in the UAE have used its model of excellence and hundreds of them annually participate in its assessment cycles.
