Etihad Airways Engineering, the Middle East's leading aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider, has become the first organisation in the Middle East to be granted an extended Part21J Design Organisation Approval(DOA) by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)to undertakemajor cabin design and modification.

With the new approval Etihad Airways Engineering is entitled to design and certify major changes to cabin interiors, galleys or other interior equipment and related structure, and environmental and electrical systems.

Etihad Airways Engineering is an AS9110 certified organisation and already holds EASA 145 approval as well asEASA 21J approval for designing and undertaking minor changes and repairs.
