• Ericsson works with Etisalat Egypt to offer subscribers more flexible, on-demand broadband and ADSL mobile data services.

• Project recognized for Etisalat's ability to achieve reduced time to market and costs while greatly improving revenues and customer satisfaction.

Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) and Etisalat Egypt have been recognized with a Global Telecoms Business Innovation 2015 Award for the'New Day - New Idea' project, which gives subscribers better access to flexible mobile data services. Winning in the category of wireless network infrastructure innovation, Ericsson and Etisalat were honored during a ceremonyheld at The GTB Innovation Awards in London on May 13. The Global Telecoms Business Innovation Awards highlight innovative projects in the global telecommunications industry, led by service providers and their technology suppliers.

Commenting on this achievement, Eng. Saeed AlHamli, CEO of Etisalat Egypt said: "We had strong growth plans for ourmobile broadband services in the face of arduous competition and users' demand for greater control. Itwas understood that greater service agility was required to realize the 'New Day - New Idea' project that would drive our business forward, supported by more efficiency, improved service delivery speed and the ability to deliver on customer expectations for transparency and control".

Etisalat Egypt rolled out Ericsson's Integrated Policy and Charging (EIPC) solution to enhance services for both mobile broadband and ADSL Internet subscribers, allowing them to merge services into flexible bundles and access the Internet from different devices with the same subscription fee. EIPC is a scalable, flexible BSS solution that delivers decoupling, configurability, convergent real-time charging and policy support, a strong user-experience focus and reduced TCO.
