Dubai, United Arab Emirates - The Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology (ESMA) has set up an awareness workshop for more than 300 traders and suppliers of juices, beverages, milk and dairy products in the UAE on the mandatory technical regulations.

He pointed that enhancing the quality of the products would preserve the health and safety of the consumer by providing healthy food manufactured in accordance with the approved standards in the country, health requirements and control the process of manufacturing, importing and trading in the markets.

He added that the workshop tackled the most important of the two technical regulations in supporting national products, ensuring their conformity with the highest international standards, and enhancing the government agencies concerned with monitoring, inspection and quality control.
