UAE - His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, ordered that 833 students will be the lucky recipients of University of Sharjah (UoS) scholarships this Eid Al Adha.

This was announced on the "Direct Line" programme which airs from Sharjah Radio and TV station.

The scholarships will be offered by the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa).

Last July, Sheikh Sultan had decreed that the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority's scholarship department will issue full-ride university scholarships for employees' children.

UAE citizens' children who earn less than Dh50,000 a month, retired Sewa pensioners, as well as children of deceased Sewa pensioners, or those benefitting from social services, are eligible for a full scholarship, as stated in the Mubasher programme.
