United Stars, the joint venture of Tristar Group in Saudi Arabia, has inked a long-term contract with Sharjah Oxygen Company (SOC) to transfer cryogenic liquids between the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Tristar, a global integrated energy logistics company, has recently set up the cryogenic gas transport division which offers the leasing of cryogenic ISO tanks and road tankers.

In the upcoming period, Tristar will open a specialised maintenance and repair centre for cryogenic assets in Saudi Arabia.

Commenting on the contract, the group CEO of Tristar, Eugene Mayne, said: "Tristar’s Cryogenic Gas Transport division will be led by Paul Vincent, who brings a wealth of experience from the cryogenic industry to Tristar."

Mayne added: "Our business in Saudi Arabia is well established with strong relationships with key players in the LNG industry. We look forward to accelerating growth and expanding our market share in the GCC with our new offering for the cryogenics transport market."
