Abu Dhabi: The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) in Abu Dhabi announced that forty bus stops have been converted into taxi stands among Abu Dhabi Island. This is in aim of providing innovative solutions for parking management in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

This step aims to optimise the use of parking spaces and regulate them to increase the level of satisfaction among taxi users by decreasing random parking and making hiring taxis easier.

It is worth to mention that the bus stops that have been converted into taxi stands were no longer needed as some of the buses services were rerouted, especially in areas with high taxi demand.

ITC strives to create a sustainable parking infrastructure designed according to the best world standards and improve the services offered to the public in addition to enhancing the smoothness of the traffic.
